Posted Sunday, April 06, 2008 by Saint's Reporter

The Saint's faced their former coach, Gaeton Lucibello for the first time in a little over a year since he left the head coaching job at Neumann and is now an assistant coach for South Jersey's, Glassboro High School.

The Saint's never let Glassboro in the game, controlling the outcome from start to finish.

The Saint's picked up a run in both the 1st & 2nd inning. (Sophmore) Albert Baur picked up his first of 2 R.B.I.'s on the day by knocking in fellow (Sophmore) Reno Regalbuto who reached base on a single in the 1st inning. The Saint's 2nd run came in the 2nd inning courtesy of a solo line-drive Homerun by (Sophmore) Mike Riverso.

Top of the 3rd inning, the Saint's put a little rally together to add on an additional 7 runs. The Saint's batted around the lineup and had 13 batters approach the plate w/ 5 walks and 5 hits in that inning alone. The Saint's never looked back after that and added on 2 more runs over the next 5 innings for a total of 11 runs to Glassboro's 6.

On the Defensive side of the ball, the Saint's comitted no errors in the field while giving up 6 runs on 7 hits and 7 walks. On the Offensive side, the Saint's registered 12 hits which were lead by Sophmore's Al Baur and Mike Riverso who combined for 4 hits and 5 R.B.I.'s. The Saint's had another Offensive spark from Varsity's only Freshman Player, Dominic Riverso who went 2 for 3 with 2 Doubles and 2 R.B.I.'s.

The Saint's next in league series games are against Cardinal Dougherty, starting at Dougherty on Tuesday, April 8th and then back at home on Thursday, April 10th, both games at 3:45pm.
